AMARAVATHI
Formerly known as Andhra Nagari (Amaravati), this is one of the most important Buddhist sites in the country. Acharya Nagarjuna built the largest stupa in India here over 2000 years ago. Considered as the holiest pilgrimage center for Buddhists in South India, Amaravati is 33 km from Vijayawada Haritha Berm Park and the RTC Bus Stand.
