ARAMBOL BEATCH

ARAMBOL BEATCH

Once a sleepy fishing village called Harmal, Arambol Beach has become the newest hippie haven for the "monsters" of Goa. They join a number of more normal visitors, who are also attracted by the relaxed atmosphere and the live music scene there. The popularity of Arambol as a beach destination is growing every year, but so far, it still retains a feel Uncommercialised. Local pressure has ensured that there are no resorts or middle class hotels in Arambol. Only basic pensions, most similar level, and huts on the beach. The usual assortment of huts and textile and jewelry stores complete the picture. The season was coming to an end when we were there, and by all accounts, it had been a bumper with many full guesthouses for the duration.
